3ème Grand Cru Classé – Margaux
“Located in the heart of the famous Left Bank appellation, Margaux, in the Médoc, Château Giscours is one of the emblematic properties of the Bordeaux region.”
La Revue du Vin de France
Upon tasting, Château Giscours reveals a dark red color with purple reflections. Harmonious and balanced, the bouquet is characterized by the freshness of its notes of red fruits and the sweetness of its vanilla notes. With aeration, delicate notes of undergrowth scents develop. Giscours is a great Margaux.

History
Giscours has a rich history dating back to the 14th century. A defensive keep then overlooked a wild and inhospitable countryside. In 1552, Pierre de Lhomme, a rich Bordeaux clothier bought the noble house of "Guyscoutz", built up a vast estate around it and planted the very first vines.
Terroir
Located within the Margaux appellation, the exceptional terroir of Château Giscours has all the qualities required to produce a very great wine. The pedological components are ideal there. Three magnificent gravel ridges deposited by the Garonne at the start of the Quaternary era are one of its secrets.
The grapes that compose them play a major role, reflecting the sun's rays and maintaining a certain night temperature: ideal conditions for perfect ripening of the grapes.
Vinification and aging
Aged in oak barrels, the wine acquires over the months all its complexity, subtly combining its aromas of black fruits and spices with wood tannins, to achieve supreme balance. The high mass of blends, an important step in the development of this grand cru, mobilizes the most specialized skills of the cellar master and his team.
